The emphasis for Save on faxes would have to be on, as the name states, savings.
Looking at the package offerings we can see that they have a very low entry price:
- The "Basic" plan is $44.95 per year (works out to $3.75/month) and covers 50 combined pages per month with additional pages costing $0.12 each. A sign-up/activation fee of $20 applies to new customers.
- The "Small Business" plan is $6.95/month with the option of paying $75.00 per year ($6.25/month) which also gets you a $5 discount on the standard $20 sign-up/activation fee. This plan covers 250 combined pages per month with additional pages costing $0.10 each.
Save on faxes does not offer a free trial account but they do offer a free demo of the service to give customers an idea of what they can do with online faxing. The demo is a bit odd however as this service does everything over email and the demo is web-based. None the less the email you will get is a good example of how an incoming fax will look, and the physical fax they send is also reassuring to see transmitted.
When a fax comes into your email it will be in .pdf format, which is a handy standard as most devices support .PDF viewing, including modern phones.
Sending a fax consists of either sending a plain email that will be converted to a fax, or attaching documents that will be sent off as fax pages.
Since there is no software to install the only requirement is a working email account, nothing else is needed.
Save on faxes also works with multiple recipients but it appears to be a function of the account manager which is an online component we will review later.
Once we have our demo account setup we will try to get a full video review showing Save on faxes in action, including a peek at the account manager pages.
